Listen First
We listen to the child and family before deciding what support should look like.
About Word Speechology
Founded in 2020, Word Speechology combines therapy, learning and family collaboration to help children participate more meaningfully in everyday life.
Our story
Word Speechology began with a commitment to support children with communication, oral-motor, feeding and developmental needs. As families shared the challenges children faced in classrooms and daily routines, the centre evolved into an integrated learning environment.
Today, the team works across speech therapy, occupational therapy, special education, early intervention and individualized learning programs—always with the goal of helping each child communicate, learn and become more independent.
We believe progress becomes more meaningful when therapists, educators and parents work toward shared functional goals.
Support is planned around the whole child, their everyday participation and the priorities that matter to their family.
What guides us
These principles shape the way we assess, plan, teach and communicate with families.
We listen to the child and family before deciding what support should look like.
Plans are based on strengths, priorities, learning style and functional needs.
Parents, therapists and educators work together toward consistent goals.
Small gains matter. We recognize effort, participation and growing independence.
